Chapter VHF Tournament Channel 71
Dates: May 5 – May 7th, 2017

Weigh In: If you are fishing the main MSSA Tournament, you must check your fish in at any MSSA weigh in location, according to the MSSA guidelines. Then you must provide the yellow receipt to the chapter weigh master by May 9th. Receipts will not be accepted after May 9th. NO EXCEPTIONS. Only 2 fish per day can be weighed regardless of the weigh station (MSSA’s or Frederick’s). If you fish the Main MSSA Tournament you must weigh with the main. Anyone fishing the Frederick Chapter Tournament ONLY must bring their fish to the Comfort Inn/Beacon Marina by 5:30pm on Friday &
Saturday and 5:00pm on Sunday GPS time. The weigh master is Chris Linetty and his cell is 301-988-1305. Awards will be given at the meeting on May 10th.

Entry Fee: $125.00 / Boat by March 8th Early Bird Discount
$150.00 / Boat March 9th – April 12th
Last day to sign-up is April 12th, 2017 at the chapter meeting.

Calcutta: Optional $100 / Boat if paid by March 8th, winner take all for heaviest single fish.
$125 if paid March 9th to April 12th. You must enter our main tournament.

All tournament fees are non refundable.

Rules: Boat Captain must be current Frederick Chapter MSSA member. Only one day needs to be fished to be an official tournament. Unless noted above we will follow the main MSSA Spring Tournament Rules attached on the following page. Species is rockfish only. Winners will be determined by the combined weight of 3 fish. Only 1 place per boat & you can check 2 fish per day. Fish must be weighed the day caught. You cannot fish from a charter boat. Kids and women’s fish will not count in our daily tournament.

You must determine which fish you want to weigh. Neither the MSSA nor the Frederick MSSA will cull fish for you on the official scale.

The Chapter will provide an additional $350 for prizes. We will have a $100 daily for the closest to the weight without going over: Friday – 23.2 lbs, Saturday 22.1 lbs and Sunday 21.0 lbs. In case of a tie funds will be split. The $50 will be a lucky loser (must be present at meeting to win)

4 Prize Tournament 11 + boats
Dinner: The chapter will host a dinner on Friday May 5th at 6:30pm at the Solomon’s Island Fire House. Price is $18 per person by March 8th or $23 by April 12th. No sales at the door. We will have a raffle with numerous prizes including a Rod & Reel ready to fish. We’ll also have a 50/50 drawing.
